The Bigger Picture

The new Nikon D850 is quite the beast of a camera.  It holds a massive 45.7-megapixel full-frame sensor, it can shoot at a blazing fast seven frames per second and has an enormous 51 image buffer when shooting. All of which is apparently too much for women to handle according to Nikon. Recently, Nikon chose 32 individuals to take a photographic journey across Japan with the D580. Nikon claims that it was demonstrating versatility in choosing the 32 photographers; however, Nikon isn’t showcasing much “versatility” in selecting only men.

We’re out here wondering if the D in Nikon D850 stands for dudes only. It’s a shame that despite how fast the camera is capable of taking pictures, the speed still wasn’t fast enough to outrun the sexism that is expressed in Nikon’s actions. Don't believe us? Read more on Fstoppers.
