In many American ski towns, the tourism and services economies would grind to a halt without their Latino populations. From two of the filmmakers behind Pretty Faces comes a movie showcasing the Latino workforces that make up the heart of American Ski Towns.
After reading David Page’s feature, “The Quiet Force,” in Powder magazine, Sophie Danison, and Hilary Bryne felt the topic was deserving of a deeper look, and began working to making the film a reality. They spent last winter interviewing, networking, filming, and building the foundation for a film that is increasingly relevant, fascinating, and more complex than they could have imagined.
