No One Really Knows What “Women’s Specific Gear” Is

At Coalition Snow, we like to joke that what makes our skis "woman's specific" is that our cores are built from tampons and the tears of fragile masculinity, But the truth, for us anyway, is that we design all of our gear from the ground up, by and for women. Does that mean that all of our gear is perfect for every woman? Hell no. Because women don't all fit into the same box (or jacket, or backpack, or snowboard, or the same pair of pants, skis, jacket... you get where I'm going).

Women are tall or short, big or small, we have narrow waists and wide shoulders or wide waists and narrow shoulders. We're dark, we're light. We identify as women all of the time, some of the time, or no longer. We're different but we all deserve to be heard.

Hannah Weinberger dives into the world of "women's specific gear" to figure out the who, what, when, where, and why doesn't anyone know what the fuck they're doing when it comes to gear that isn't for men (or maybe it is, just not specifically).
