In an ongoing effort to be more inclusive, the Boy Scouts of America has dropped "boy" from its name. The newly renamed Scouts BSA made the announcement following major program changes that included allowing girls and openly gay boys into the Scout ranks and hiring openly gay scout leaders. The organization also announced the launch of it's new "Scout Me In" recruitment campaign aimed towards girls in an effort to highlight the programs expanding inclusiveness.

Though the article doesn't specifically state whether that also includes trans and non-gender conforming scouts, it's a step in the right direction to creating an inclusive outdoor community for everyone.
